Welcome to Train of Events, exactly the right place on the web, if you like unusual train travel or you want to organise a railway event and aren't sure who to talk to, (or what can be done).

We offer a small but spectacularly diverse programme of trains, train events and railway journeys of our own.

If steam engines, diesel or electric traction plus authentic carriages, some with superb dining cars and sleeping compartments start to excite you, then you are in good company.

In May 2012 we celebrate the 21st Anniversary of the last journey of the British Military Train, a cold war icon that linked Berlin with West Germany through hostile communist territory, keeping open a chink of hope which was the Berlin Corridor.

And what could not be a greater contrast? We will be taking the Hungarian Presidential Train to Dracula's Castle in Transylvania for a night of dressing up and a Vampire Ball.

We have other exciting themed train events planned which are different from the 'run of the rail' steam, diesel or electric excursions. What we attempt to create is more than a train journey, we aim to offer a memorable experience as part of a train journey.

In addition to our published rail based programme, Train of Events can organise a special event for you, whether it's in the UK or abroad. If you have a group idea or one of your own and want some very serious railway talent to help you, we will be delighted to chat.
